Technologies inherited from LCMS-8060
The portion from the ion injector to the ion separator is equipped with technology inherited mainly from the LCMS-8060. Ions are efficiently injected into the TOF unit due to a bright ion optical system and a high ion convergence capability.
UFgrating™
himadzu’s world-class manufacturing capability has enabled the ion acceleration electrode to be made with substantial mechanical strength. This grating is able to withstand the high voltages needed for ultrafast ion pulsing.
UFaccumulation™
Ion accumulation in the collision cell, synchronized perfectly with short cycles of data acquisition, maximizes sensitivity.
UF-FlightTube™
Mass accuracy needs mass stability. Shimadzu’s temperature-controlled UF-FlightTube requires less frequent calibration, enabling you to run more samples.
iRefTOF™
A computationally ideal electrostatic eld has become a reality. Meticulously manufactured plate electrodes are stacked to create a reectron which turns ions with no compromise in resolution or sensitivity.
New TOF Technologies
Shimadzu’s proprietary technologies, such as UFgrating and iRefTOF, are used in the TOF unit to achieve both excellent mass accuracy and high sensitivity.
